Dr. Kenneth K. Baldwin
Kenny Baldwin is the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church. Sharing his father's birthday, he is the youngest of the Baldwin's three children.
He was led to the Lord by his father at the young age of four and was called to preach at the age of nine.
He attended the Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Graduating with the highest honors awarded by the school, his awards reflected unusual achievement in spiritual leadership, academics and music. He was student body president during his senior year. He also received the top athletic award at the school, and was captain and MVP of the varsity basketball team.
The degree Doctor of Divinity was conferred upon him by Pensacola Christian College.
He got early experience in preaching by participating in the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) competition at the age of nine. He won first place in that competition and went on to win first place each consecutive year through the twelfth grade. These nineteen first place awards included one occasion at the National Preaching Festival and three consecutive occasions at the AACS National Competition in Greenville, South Carolina. After winning in his final high school entry at AACS Nationals, he was asked to preach during the awards ceremony to a crowd of 5,000.
He is an accomplished musician with proficiency in piano, conducting and voice. His passion, however, is preaching. His dynamic preaching style has afforded him numerous opportunities to minister at Crossroads Baptist Church, in other churches in various states and overseas, in youth conferences and rallies, revivals, missions conferences, men's retreats, preachers fellowships, community centers, homeless shelters and schools. He has a particular burden for his generation. He has been influential in leading scores of young people to Christ through his preaching, personal witnessing and counseling. His interaction with youth all across America has made him a tremendous spiritual example to hundreds of people.
Dr. Baldwin currently serves on the board of the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools (ODACS).
He assumed the role of Senior Pastor in the fall of 2011, following in his father's footsteps who founded and pastored the church for thirty years. Crossroads Baptist Church is a congregation of about five hundred. The church occupies a beautiful twenty-thousand square foot facility in Northern Virginia. Crossroads is a missions-hearted ministry, supporting nearly two hundred missionary families and projects around the world and giving over $300,000 annually for world missions.
Dr. Baldwin and his wife Bethany were married on March 16, 2002. They have two sons, Kevin and Kenneth (Kobe) and two daughters, Karmen and Khloe. Additionally, Pastor Baldwin has always had an intense burden for fathering young men and has embraced three of them into his family whom he loves and considers his very own: Troy, Peter and Mark. He and his family reside in Alexandria, Virginia.
